The Pacific coast, and particularly towns like Flamingo, Carillo, Tamarindo and Jacó tends to cater more widely to fishing lovers than the Caribbean. The best fishing areas depend on what you would like to catch and the time of year when that species is found. For example, Mahi Mahi, Marlin and Swordfish can be found on both coasts, but is mostly caught between May and October (in the Green Season).
