Whether you are planning your trip for the dry season from December through April or the rainy season from May to November, below are a few items you might want to bring.

Costa Rica is home to multiple kinds of climates, and the temps can climb into the 90s or drop down into the 50s. This isn’t the place where you will need to pack on the layers to avoid becoming an icicle, but some places in the mountains will see you wishing that you had a warm jacket or lite coat. The dry and rainy seasons are broken up into mountain, city and beach clothing and items as well as some standard items that you will want to bring no matter where you go.

During the dry season (December-April)

Basics

• Camera (GoPro, Smart Phone or full size with telephoto lens)
• Sun Screen
• Water Bottle
• Insect Repellant
• A baseball cap, Panama hat, cowboy hat or other
