Costa Rica Open Tennis Tournament begins June 3rd
The 2015 Costa Rica Tennis Club Open will begin June 3rd, and players from around the world are gathering to face off in one of the largest pro events of the land of pura vida.
The squash tournament favorite is Scottish Alan Clyne who is currently ranked 32 in the world, but young Peruvian Diego Elias is also gunning for the championship. Clyne is coming off a recent run at the International PSA Sporta where he reached the semi-finals before losing to Cesar Salazar in a harrowing five set match. Elias is the 2014 World Junior Champion, and a win at the Costa Rican Club Open would help in cement him into PSA standings.
The Costa Rica Tennis Club is located in San Jose, Costa Rica, and has been hosting the open for four years. The event will see top players from the Profession Squash Association converging at the tennis club. Another favorite is Mexican Alfredo Avila who is currently ranked #2 in the world, but he will have to contend with the likes of Shawn Delierre of Canada.
