In case you can’t to fly into LIR you can fly into SJO (Juan Santamaria Airport) but in this case you would have to cover transportation to Liberia, which is not included. A: Costa Rica doesn’t require a visa to enter the country, if you have a US passport then you should have no problem. Nicaragua is mostly low lands very close to the sea level. Because of this, temperature its always around 25-35 even in the capital city of Managua. Unlike Costa Rica, Nicaragua´s forest is principally dry forest all over the country. The sun will shine all day long, the thermal sensation will be hot. Summer clothes are advised.
