2. Gandoca-Manzanillo National Wildlife Refuge
The Gandoca-Manzanillo National Wildlife Refuge is one of the last stops before reaching the border of Panama on the Caribbean Coast. If toucans is your thing, then Gandoca-Manzanillo is your best bet to see Keel-billed Toucans, the Chestnut-mandibled Toucan or the Fiery-billed Aracari. Some other birds that make their home in Gandoca-Manzanillo include hummingbirds, green ibis, herons and kingfishers.
