4. The Osa Peninsula
The Corcovado National Park on the Osa Peninsula is such a grand collection of flora and fauna that birding is as much a spectacle as is the total spectrum of natural sciences to be observed in operation at the park. Owls, blue egrets, ibis and herons are in the numbers of avifauna to be found on the Osa Peninsula. It is large enough to suit the needs of many inland species, but it is also close enough to the water to attract the marine species.
