5. Volcanic Hot Springs

Taking a dip in the steaming pools at Rincón de la Vieja, Arenal or Tenorio is just the kind of reward that you should give yourself after a long hike through the forest. Make sure to test the water before you jump in, because some of the pools get piping hot.
