3. Playa Cocles

Cocles is one of the few surf beaches to be found in the Caribbean, and it is as laid back as the people that inhabit the landscape from Puerto Viejo to Manzanillo. The waves can get strong at high tide, and the rip currents may pull you out to sea. Some caution need be taken here, but it’s a good spot overall for most levels of surfers.
