Do you like frogs, turtles and snakes? Cause if you do, you are definitely going to enjoy your trip to Monteverde and to the Costa Rica Herpetarium.
As I probably told you before I’m not a big fan of snakes, so for me this was more of a test than it was a regular job. But it gave me the opportunity to learn a couple of things about these mysterious creatures and why not; confront my own fears.
Herpetology is the field of zoology that studies reptiles. Herpetariums hold a vast variety of them; such as:
• Iguanas
• Lizards
• Geckos
• Snakes
• Frogs etc.
The Herpetarium in Monteverde will take you inside the Costa Rican forest, with fully bilingual guides; visitors can answer their questions about any type of reptiles or interesting weird amphibians that you can find in the area and in Costa Rica in general.
As I walked through the well illuminated space where the terrariums are located, a sense of great tranquility came over me, I could finally asked the questions I needed to ask and have real verified information given to me in a completely safe environment.
