Girls Getaways in Costa Rica
When you are ready for a girl’s getaway with your besties
there isn’t a better place to do it than Costa Rica.
You’ve planned your getaway with your girlfriends and you’re off to Costa Rica. Reservations are done, luggage is set, your girlfriends are ready. What else is missing for one of the trips of your lifetime? Being safe, knowing what you’re doing and being prepared. When you decide on a getaway with your girlfriends it’s important that you get to know the area you will be visiting, learn a little about the culture, it’s all for the sake of knowing what to do in extreme situations.
If you ever plan on travelling to Costa Rica with your friends I have some useful tips you can follow to ensure the best of the trip.
Driving in Costa Rica:
Roads are very narrow and we have many up’s and down’s due to the mountains and valleys in Costa Rica, many roads are not fully painted with the lines and you might not know if you’re able to pass another car or if there is a curve in front, so just make sure you drive with lots of precaution and ask about the areas you will be visiting so they can let you know how the roads are in the area. There are many areas that require a 4 x 4, whenever you rent a car, let them know what your destinations will be so they can make the best recommendations in regards to the car you should have and if the distances are what you really think they are.
Sun in Costa Rica:
I know how great it feels to have the best tan when you go back home, but remember that too much exposure can truly harm your skin. Protect your skin from direct UV rays, most importantly if you’re not used to the sun, you might have to start with a high SPF sun blocker. Avoid exposing your skin during the time of 11am-2pm, this is when the sun hits the land the hardest and when you have higher probabilities of skin diseases. If you want to get a great tan, do so in a gradual manner.
Safety in Costa Rica:
Costa Rica is a truly safe country, you can trust many of the people you’ll get to know, they’re extremely friendly and willing to help you at the majority of the times, but as you may know like in many other areas in the world, we have thief’s that want to take over your belongings from time to time. It’s very easy to avoid, just don’t leave your valuables exposed such as your electronic devices, jewelry and anything that has a value for you. If you have a car, don’t leave bags, or anything that might look valuable to everyone’s sight, especially if you park in the main roads. Avoid as much walking in the dark by yourselves since a group of only woman can be a jackpot for a stealer. Always keep yourselves together and watch each ones back. Nightlife in Costa Rica is awesome, just make sure you attend to the correct clubs and trust the person who recommends them to you. It’s fun to dance with a costarican stranger, they have great skills, but make sure you’re not alone. Girls are always the center of attention so you can feel when a person is interested in just having fun or something else. You can always walk away if you don’t feel comfortable. Have fun! Enjoy the moment.
These are the tips I would say are the most important whenever travelling to Costa Rica, this is a great place to visit. Socialize get to know the people, im sure you’ll fall in love with the Costa Rican beauty and everything that comes with it.
