Flamingo Beach in Brasilito Bay Flamingo, Costa Rica can make the stern soft and the world weary revived of that which vexes them.

The beach is expansive along the Pacific Coast and in the province of Guanacaste. Deep sea fishing, golf and scuba diving are all popular retreats in the area. The waters of the Pacific hold a large assortment of prized fish including Dorado, Sail, Marlin, Red Snapper, Wahoo and Roosterfish. These giants are good for the plate or the camera, so you’ll want to bring photographic equipment along with a fishing pole, snorkeling and/or scuba gear, sun screen, golf clubs and a swimsuit.

Flamingo, Costa Rica is also near to Las Baulas National Park where Leatherback Sea Turtles nest throughout the year and especially in the months of September to March. This national park is also a great place to spend time on a tour of the terrestrial or the aquatic. The park contains a prodigious quantity of flora and fauna to be observed.

The mainstays of lodgings, apartments and villas in the area are of the upper economic quadrant. There are some hotels in the area which offer more affordable rates such as Mariner Inn. Reachable via plane, Nature Air and Sansa Air fly to the nearby city of Tamarindo, Costa Rica. If you wish to take the road, Juan Santamaria International Airport in Alajuela is four hours and six minutes from Playa Flamingo. San Jose is five hours and fifty three minutes from the beach, and the international airport in Liberia, Costa Rica is one hour and six minutes away. There are a number of rental car agencies in Costa Rica that cater to foreign tourism, and there are a number of private mini-bus companies that lead tours all over Costa Rica, too.
