Many people from abroad seem to have a visit to Costa Rica in mind this season. Travel to Costa Rica is expected with many hotels reporting a high rate of reservations.

As the rainy season comes to a halt, the hotels in Costa Rica are expecting a number of guests from the United States and Canada for the holidays. As of right now, the Costa Rican Chamber of Hotels has stated that beach and mountain establishments have an eighty eight percent rate of occupancy for Christmas and the New Year celebration. This rate is expected to go up as the season approaches.

Travel to Costa Rica has been historically high in this period over recent years, and this time it appears to have gone up from the year before. There are also a large number of tours and packages being offered at this time that are bringing more and more attention to the country. The north of Costa Rica is projected to have the largest number of visitors, and still other locations in the central region and south are seeing their numbers rising, as well.

Of course the areas favored for vacations are in the mountains or at the beach. The central valley city hotels, however, have also reported an increase of five percent from for expected visitors coming in the Christmas and New Year’s season over the previous year. It would appear that all of Costa Rica is becoming a top choice for foreigners to have their holiday celebrations, and this is evidenced more and more with the rising number of occupancy in Costa Rican hotels and resorts.
