4. Surfing at Playa Hermosa

Playa Hermosa has a great reputation for providing exceptional and consistent waves. It is near to Jaco, Costa Rica, and the swells are not too difficult to access. The best time of day to hit the waves is around high tide, and there are a few spots along the beach considered better than others. The local surfers will most likely point you in the best direction if you aren’t certain where the good swells are at.
