Is it safe to eat the local fruits and vegetables?

Yes! In fact you should not leave Costa Rica without sampling its wide array of fresh fruits and vegetables. Costa Rica grows delicious pineapple, papaya, mango, dragon fruit, strawberries, bananas, as well as a whole longer list of vegetables and fruits you may not have ever tried before. We encourage you to stop at local markets and road stands to take colorful pictures and taste the succulent produce Tico farmers have to offer.
